Met up with John and went in reverse, down the long way and up the steep route.

Today's hike with Ken and Taylor went from behind the Merry-Go-Round up to the Joe Klass water stop.

Well, it looks like I might have actually found a good use for my LiveJournal. Most people think if you were born and raised in L.A. you are a city girl. They don't realize how many adventures lie within the great state of California. Since I've been spending so much time back here away from my apartment in NYC, I've been doing lots of exploring.

One of my newest found passions has been hiking and just spending time in the great outdoors. Alot of my friends have talked about joining me, or just say they like hearing about what I'm up to.

Headed to a studio party at Universal tonight. And, thanks to hiking, I was able to pull out and get back into my little black dress! Snap!

Did the stair run at Universal today and got cheered on by nice strangers taking the escalator. I then tried to see Transformers but it was SOLD OUT until eternity. So, instead I will join my gals and pals for some Phase 10 over pizza and beer to remember the late great one.

Did the Runyon Canyon loop and then headed to an open mic. I feel very refreshed!

Went hiking at Fryman Canyon. Was not a fan.

Hiked Stough Canyon today. You know, hiking isn't hiking unless you wander off the path and find an abandoned brick fireplace complete with chimney littered with broken art tiles, follow a trail of deer poop and surprise yourself by actually finding a real life deer, and talk to it for 45 minutes only to then notice you are standing in a red ant hole. Don't believe me?...Talk to the hand, cause it's got poison oak!

P.S. Just saw the Monks I met yesterday at the Observatory on TMZ. Seriously. Why you gotta hate the monks?

I had a really full day. Brunch at Coffee Bean, Hiking in Griffith Park, then going to the Observatory Cafe to have iced tea and read my book over the Hollywood Hills (finding out what is in fact in the Chamber Of Secrets). I then proceeded to Hollywood where I saw an enjoyable play over a glass of Merlot. Sometimes you find out you really are your own best friend. A day well spent.

Wildwood Canyon.

My mind really wants to go on a hike today, but my body is disagreeing. What to do...what to do...

(Then;) Mind over matter prevails! I not only hiked up Wildwood Canyon, I did the actual "Vital Link" trail which has an increase in elevation of almost 2,000 feet! 2 hrs 45mins. Well deserved thumbs up! Life is good. =)

Hiked Runyon Canyon today from Mulholland aaaaaall the way down to Fuller and back. You know, hiking isn't hiking unless you get adopted by a lost dog, wander off the path and find a secret rock formation, and drop your keys two inches from a beehive. In other words...if you'd like to join Dayna on one of her daily hikes around LA. You know where to reach me.

Just did a really strenuous hike at Wildwood Canyon all by myself. It felt great!
